1972. In 1979, Guruji
requested that Shabda teach Raga under the name Chisti Sabri School of
Music. Shabda is a senior teacher in the Sufi community. |
| Pandit Jagdish Mohan is one of
India’s leading singers. A versatile vocalist, tabla player and
composer, he received extensive guidance from Pandit Pran Nath. A
consumate teacher, Panditji’s music radiates a joyous warmth and
enthusiasm. |
| A devotional and classical singer and
longtime disciple of Pandit Pran Nath,
Sri Karunamayee holds masters degrees in both philosophy
and music and has served as a visonary music educator in academic
settings from the primary to post graduate levels. She has been in
residence at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram for over 30 years. |
| Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan, one of
the bright stars of the Kirana Lineage was trained by his father, the
illustrious Sarangi Master Shakur Khan, who along with Pandit Pran Nath
received the highest teachings from Ustad Abdul Wahid Khan Chisti Sabri.
His singing uniquely evokes the character of each Raga and dazzles the
listener with its power and virtuosity. |
